One of my favorite color palettes has always been the contrast of mixed metals. Bronzes, golds, silver, mineral and smokey quartz. They are always luxurious, always refined and always timeless.....
in fashion, makeup and as well as decor.
This palette is stylish and fresh in classic feminine style or bold, graphic prints.
It mixes perfectly with a pop of color like this hot pink.......
...or adds a bit of gleam to a smokey eye palette.
Each season I begin refining my wardrobe by considering my personal palette. I look to a
key piece or two as a starting place.
This season my go to piece is the Michael Kors Tote (see similar below)
in shades of gray and gold (my birthday present....and, yes, I had a hand in selecting it). It fits beautifully with the mixed metal shades aesthetic and
is the perfect size for work, shopping or carrying travel essentials. I appreciate it each and every day.
I build on the key pieces-tote, charcoal pencil skirt, boucle' jacket- and add a gold and silver tone watch, Pucci scarf with mixed metal tones and complimentary eye shadow palettes. I'm loving booties with skirts this season for a modern edge.
