Launching the Stylemindchic Boutique!

Tonight I am thrilled to finally unveil the project that has kept me running, thinking, creating, learning/relearning/unlearning, challenging my limits, and up at night for the last month.  For my friends and family who connect with me on Stylemindchic Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Houzz, I thank you for checking in and checking in often. Your support and encouragement mean the world to me in my new endeavors.

Just in time for Mother's Day, I introduce "The Stylemindchic Boutique". Click on the link, and I hope you love the stylish, often one-of-a-kind pieces as much as I do. Welcome to the Weekend!

It's Friday evening and welcome to the weekend~ you SO deserve it!! We have long time friends (aka my

best friend since 4th grade and her new husband) coming into town on Saturday and I can hardly wait to get into the R and R groove. After weekday rains it promises to be 80 degrees tomorrow, perfect for dining poolside and lazying around under a starry night. Yes, breathe.....it will be sublime.

First things, first.....I'm thinking food. I found a few "good bites" on my Pinterest board 'Delish' for inspiration. How about this?

Since Deb and Bruce have not had my favorite standby we may go with this puffed pastry creation.

Work it girl.....Inspiration for the Home Office!

There is some excitement going on behind the scenes at Stylemindchic this week and I'm just bursting to share more in the near future. In the meantime, I've got a redesign project on my mind for the home front. We currently have our home office in the den but I'm planning to move my work space to our bright, sunny back room with lots of sunshine and a lovely, expansive view. I headed to Pinterest and Houzz for some design inspiration for my home office. Frankly, I believe the space you work in can truly inspire the quality of work you produce. In the first 3 months of creating the blog I've spent countless hours in the "black hole".  It's actually a good camouflage for a computer work station in a black computer armoire, but it does happen to reside in the darkest room of the house.  Girl needs some sunshine......Back to my latest project........For my sunny new home office, I'm specifically drawn to the white parsons desks and sleek white shelving.

This is one of my favorites.....fun colors, sleek desk and I really dig that gold branch in the back for some added texture.  This could work!  Are you on the verge of a redesign?  Would love to hear details.

It took only a few moments in the sun today to remind me how essential just a few rays of pure sunshine can be.  There's alot to be said for careful, short term sunshine exposure, with appropriate sunscreen, of course (and I don't mean baby oil and tin foil tents ladies of the 70's like me-though I do miss the smell of baby oil).  Sunshine is certainly a mood booster.....and oh, how I've missed it on my back deck poolside...... it's been far too long my friend.  We went from cool to hot in Northern California today and I'm liking it.  Here's to a little sunshine in your future.  More on the benefits of sunshine here at ecosalon.Celebrate accordingly this weekend bathing beauties!

This might surprise some of my friends, but I'm really not a red person.  I tend to go more green and blue (earth and water colors) with my favorite shades, but lately I'm crushing on yellow and even orange. Okay, maybe I'm flirting with the warmer hues....and I'm liking it. 

On our recent visit to NYC I noticed lips....lots of lips and they were bold, unapologetic, sexy, glossy, line it up in RED.  I know blondes can handle red....I've even been so bold at times, but it's not my thing per se.  I'm starting to think maybe it should be.......

I don't know about you but it felt like a Monday today....ALL day....every, single minute.  It was a busy weekend so maybe it's just catching up on me. I'm in the need for a little zen like inspiration from some of my favorite fantasy get away spots.
